The Smiley Town
How would it be if a town could smile,
the buildings beaming their welcome
people sending warm thoughts as they pass by?
When I first came to Corsham
I walked into the High Street
captivated by the architecture,
the whole atmosphere –
this was where I wanted to live.
What a smiley place it was –
everybody spoke, everybody smiled.
I thought this is small town delight,
I wanted to be here, and still feel the same –
it is a lovely place to be.
The day we moved in,
I sat in the car park with my husband
waiting for the key
and all the peacocks came to see us,
walked around the car –
I think even they were smiling.
