Cow Hugging

In September 2023 iID trialed Cow Hugging for the first time with thanks to all at Neston Park Farm. The idea came from our participants and volunteers. A desire and opportunity to connect with nature, get out of the town, reminisce about childhood holidays, overcome a fear of cows, be mindful, creative in a range of ways, connect with the farming community who can often feel isolated and disconnected and learn more about the farming process, from meeting the cows and calves to tasting the beautiful organic ice cream made form their milk on the farm. As well as hear about the positive contribution farming makes and how they achieve being carbon neutral. iID are keen to develop and expand this project in partnership with Neston Park Farm and venues in Corsham town centre so more people can benefit from this experience.
